There are a few simple fundamental tips to living a better life:
- Learn to forgive and forget.
Survey has said that almost everyone who suffered from cancer may have held grudges or bitterness against someone, and they kept it for years! Through the survey, it was proven that there is a correlation between a person who suffering from cancer and the grudges that they kept. If we go deeper, who would actually suffer the loss when we kept our anger to someone? If we feel hurt, whose hearts would actually suffer from the hurt? Isn’t it our own hearts? All of our action in refusing to forgive and forget will only cause loss to our own selves. - Celebrate small successes with our loved ones.
If we had a work well done, try to share it with our loved ones, e.g. our families, best friends, or our dates. Even though there are only a few people who will celebrate the success, but the interpersonal closeness created will strengthen us more to endure further challenges in our lives and careers. - No doubt, be open to your family!
Many houses experience difficulties and divorces caused only by undisclosed secrets. To think of it, if we couldn’t trust our own family, whom we would believe then? The value of openness in our families will create more solid closeness and unity among the members of the family. - Balance your activities and health.
It is good to have many activities in lives. However, we sacrifice our healths for those activities, it’s just not worth the sacrifice! Manage your diet well, and never ‘over-eat’. Have enough sleeps, and do sports regularly. If we really have no spare time to do sport activities, we can do small sport activities at home, e.g. sit-ups, push-ups, etc.. - Try your best to leave your works at the workplace!
We shouldn’t bring our works home. Take one or two hour overtime at the workplace whenever necessary. If eventually the works should be brought home, it is good to still spend some time with our family, for example having dinner together, etc. By then, the stress risks that we will face will be relatively lower.
The five things above are not hard to be applied in our daily lives. Even all of us may have known about them before. However, whether we realize it or not, sometimes we forgotten them. If we are aware to make those things as our habits, we will surely have better lives, and they will bring us into having true happiness in lives.
